The input for extrusion is plastic granulate.
These are melted under the influence of heat and pressure and blown into a film tube. After cooling, the tube is wound up. Special material properties can be created through formulations, e.g., slip-resistant, antistatic, colored.
A wide variety of qualities can be produced using additional tools, e.g., needling, perforation, material marking.
